Google Docs Brings Emoji Reactions in Latest Workspace Update.
Emoji, the most popular way to express ourselves on social media, has made its way to Google Workspace. It will allow users to reply to any item on Google Docs by just drawing a symbol rather than making a comment or remark.
Google revealed in a Google Workspace update that the function now supports all of the emojis in the most recent release. In addition, gender-neutral solutions are also available.
When you highlight text, the emoji reaction tool will display a third option alongside ‘Add Comment’ and ‘Suggest Edits.’ These answers, according to Google, are a less formal alternative to comments.

“Giving and getting comments is an important part of the Google Docs collaborative process. However, the new emoji responses tool gives you a less formal way to share your thoughts on document content than comments.” Google announced the news on its blog.
Emoji reactions are coming to Google Docs when the service is undergoing a major revamp as it transitions from a word processor to a more collaborative remote working tool.
Google is rolling out rapid-release domains, but most Google Docs users will get the feature after April 20.
Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus members will get the new version. It includes emoji, but not Enterprise Essentials subscribers.
