Release date for Splatoon 3

I just discovered that the original Splatoon game for the Wii U was out seven years ago. It wasn’t immediately clear what to make of this series about children who were also squids, but it has since grown to be one of Nintendo’s most popular current IPs.

Because of this, my friends and I have been waiting impatiently for information on Splatoon 3 since it was revealed last year. This week, we finally received what we had been hoping for. So when will Splatoon 3 be available?

Date of Splatoon 3’s release

Nintendo unexpectedly released a clip on their YouTube account earlier this week showing off some brand-new in-engine footage of the updated Turf War mode from Splatoon 3

This teaser teased a more acrobatic, quick-paced inking experience by showcasing several of the new weapons, specialities, and mobility skills in action. The release date for Splatoon 3 was eventually announced in the video, and it was September 9, 2022, which falls after the summer.

Since Splatoon 3’s announcement in 2021, only a few trailers have shown off some of the game’s multiplayer options. These have included the traditional Turf War and the return of the co-op horde survival mode Salmon Run.

As a new member of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, you’ll work with Callie, Marie, and Agent 3 to unravel the mystery behind the reappearance of mammalian animals in the environment in the game’s single-player campaign.

We still don’t have much information about the game’s finer points. Since most of the game is set in Splitsville rather than Inkopolis, for instance, we’ll undoubtedly see some fresh faces in the weapon and clothes boutiques and potentially a new pair of musicians providing the news each day. To be specific, all we can do is wait until September.
