Compared to previous months, it seems that Xbox Game Pass will have a dry period towards the conclusion of this month.
Microsoft has announced additional Xbox Game Pass upgrades, including the inclusion of Shadowrun Trilogy and Total War: Three New Kingdoms, but nothing more for June beyond June 23rd.
Fans know that FIFA 22 and Naraka: Bladepoint will be added to the service at that time, but it will be a bit empty after that.
It’s unclear if Xbox Game Pass keeps any secret additions concealed, but it’s strange to see a whole week of the month go by with no new titles disclosed. It wouldn’t be strange if Xbox Game Pass hadn’t announced a new game for July, but it did.
Far Cry 5 will be available on Xbox Game Pass on July 1 for cloud, console, and PC. Assassin’s Creed Origins and For Honor are two Ubisoft titles that have slowly but steadily made their way to Xbox Game Pass.
Far Cry 5 is following in their footsteps, which isn’t surprising. As many people know, in this game, players take on the role of a “deputy,” attempting to thwart Joseph Seed’s and his cult’s goals. Far Cry: New Dawn is a direct successor to this game and a spin-off, and Joseph Seed appears in the Far Cry 6 DLC.
While today’s presentation is light on details compared to previous announcements, there are still a few Game Pass games planned for July. After Far Cry 5, Matchpoint: Tennis Championships will be released on July 5, As Dusk Falls will be released on July 19, and Immortality will be released on July 26. Both console and July users will be able to play the final three.
Xbox Game Pass customers should also be advised that four titles will be removed from the program on June 30. FIFA 20, Jurassic World Evolution, Last Stop, and MotoGP 20 will no longer be available on the service.
Purchases will be discounted, but they will be accessible until June 30. Since FIFA 20 is being phased out and FIFA 22 is being phased in, there’s a three-title upgrade and a three-title loss.
In any case, Xbox Game Pass subscribers should anticipate additional information in the coming days, including, ideally, titles for later this month and more July games.
Every month, Xbox Game Pass users get a selection of free games.
