Asus is preparing to launch its ROG Phone 6 line of gaming smartphones worldwide, which is expected to feature the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. Its online debut ceremony is scheduled for July 5 at 5:30 p.m. IST.
The two ROG Phone 6 series devices supposedly emerged on China Compulsory Certification (3C) website a few weeks before their introduction.
The rumoured listing has disclosed the projected rapid charging rates of these smartphones.
Tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) discovered the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro on the 3C website. ASUS AI2201 A is the model number for the vanilla model, whereas ASUS AI2201 B is the model number for the Pro version.
According to the rumoured listing, both Asus phones support 15W charging in regular mode and up to 65W rapid charging. The supposed 3C listing also implies that they would be 5G devices, which is to be anticipated from such high-end gaming products.
Asus has only stated that the ROG Phone 6 series would have an AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The ROG Phone 6 will also be the first gaming smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, according to the firm. As the launch date approaches, Asus may provide additional details about these devices.
2D renderings of the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro leaked earlier this year in January. Only the back panel of these handsets is seen in the leaked renderings.
A horizontally aligned triple rear camera configuration with a flash contained in a rectangular camera module is displayed. These renderings are based on the ROG Phone 5 series, which was released in India last year.
