AMD may be developing its most powerful RDNA 3 card yet

Despite Intel’s entry into the GPU market, AMD and Nvidia remain the two biggest tech firms in the graphics card market, with the latter marginally ahead of the former.

While team green is expected to release its Ada Lovelace RTX 40-series in September, team red is closing the gap with its RDNA 3 architecture, despite a rumoured delay. Both companies will be vying for market share once again, and it seems that another Navi product is in the pipeline.

AMD may be planning a Navi 3X GPU in its next RDNA 3 series, according to noted leaker Greymon55, as seen by Videocardz. Details are currently dependent on leaks, but they indicate that this mystery card will be more powerful than the cards listed before.

It will allegedly include 128 compute units, 16,382 stream processors, 16 shader arrays, and other features that will place it ahead of the other Navi products. It’s also possible that it’ll debut in 2023.

These are only rumours, and although leaks have been proven to be accurate in the past, it’s best to hold off on making any conclusions until formal confirmation.

AMD is expected to release RDNA 3 in October at the earliest, putting it at least a month behind its main competitor. Even if the dates are correct or as exact as they can be, Team Red will probably want to ensure that its following graphics cards hit the shelves around the same time as Ada Lovelace.

There have been a lot of speculations regarding Nvidia’s impending RTX 40 range, just as there have been a lot of reports about AMD’s future RTX 40 range, with a lot of them guessing on how hot some of the gear will run. As this GPU generation concludes over the next several months, new rumours may emerge; thus, the circulating information is likely to alter.

AMD will have to fight with the newcomers in addition to its main competitor. With Intel’s Arc desktop cards having recently been released, but only in China, for the time being, there will be additional competition for both tech titans to contend with.

Given that Intel’s next GPU is current-generation, the other two may not have as much to worry about and can instead focus on staying ahead of the competition.
