Xiaomi, a Chinese intelligent gadget manufacturer, has elevated Muralikrishnan B to the president to lead its India operations.
Since 2018, Muralikrishnan has led the business as its chief operating officer. From August 1, he will be president of Xiaomi India.
“Muralikrishnan B will be responsible for daily operations, services, public affairs, and strategic projects in his new role as President of Xiaomi India,” the company said in a statement. “He will also continue to work towards strengthening the company’s commitment towards the Make in India and Digital India initiative.”
The company’s senior-most employee, Muralikrishan, has been leading the India operation since Manu Jain, the previous managing director of Xiaomi India, moved his headquarters to Dubai.
Muralikrishan’s promotion occurs while the Enforcement Directorate looks into a possible violation of the foreign exchange legislation by the corporation.
IIM-Calcutta alumni Muralikrishnan has over 25 years of expertise in the consumer technology sector and has played a key role in the brand’s expansion in offline sales, service, and operations.
