Windows 10 Will Get Windows 11’s New Printing Feature

One of the helpful features included with Windows 11 is coming to Windows 10. According to reports, Microsoft’s attempt to introduce a “scoped set of functionality” to Windows 10 is what is causing the PIN-protected printing capability to start rolling out to users of Windows 10. Here is the pertinent information.

New Printing Feature Coming to Windows 10

Windows 10 will receive the PIN-protected printing feature as part of Build 19044.1806 (KB5014666), which will need a PIN to be input before a printer can start printing.

The printing process must be PIN-protected by the user, and once the printer receives the same PIN, the task is complete.

The main point is to print documents safely, particularly in workplaces with several printers. It will also aid in preventing duplicate or incorrect prints. Microsoft claims that this function will reduce paper and other waste.

Microsoft also supports the Print Support Application (PSA) in Windows 10 for business users. Without an extra driver, this will guarantee a seamless printing experience.

A new feature in the latest version of Windows 10, which is now available on the Release Preview Channel, allows for the delivery of critical alerts even when the Do Not Disturb mode is on.

There is no information available on the release date of the Windows 10 build, which was released in June.

Microsoft is anticipated to release the 22H2 upgrade for Windows 10 and maybe Windows 11 in a few months.

We already have these upgrades in the Release Preview, so we’ll have to wait for official word on when the firm intends to make them available to everyone. Watch this space for further developments!
