As a group, we are determined to spread the joy and enjoyment of gaming to all gamers across the globe.

We’ve witnessed the power and pleasure of the social connections and friendships that gaming can make possible.

In the pursuit of that goal, we are incredibly excited to announce that Microsoft has reached an agreement to buy Activision Blizzard.

Over the years, the teams and studios which make up Activision Blizzard have earned vast sources of happiness and admiration from millions of people around the globe.

 We are thrilled to get the opportunity to work alongside the incredibly talented, committed people throughout Activision Publishing, Blizzard Entertainment, Beenox, Demon ware, Digital Legends, High Moon Studios, Infinity Ward, King, Major League Gaming, Radical Entertainment, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games, Toys for Bob, Treyarch and all teams across Activision Blizzard.

Activision Blizzard and Microsoft Gaming will continue to operate as an independent entities as long as this deal is in place. 

After the deal is conclude and the agreement is complete, it is expect that the Activision Blizzard business will report to me as CEO of Microsoft Gaming.

When we close, we’ll provide the most Activision Blizzard games as we can in Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, both brand new games and games that are part of Activision Blizzard’s vast catalog.

We also announced that Game Pass now has more than 25 million users. 

We hope to continue to improve the quality of our service and bring new games that are great for Game Pass.

The great franchises from Activision Blizzard will also accelerate our plans for Cloud Gaming, allowing more people from more locations around the globe to join the Xbox community on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other devices you have.

Activision Blizzard games are played on many different platforms, and we intend to keep supporting these communities as we move forward.
