According to a source, Vivo may soon introduce a new foldable smartphone. The phone is said to include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The device is anticipated to fold vertically.
The Chinese smartphone company introduced the Vivo X Fold in April in China. The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, together with the Adreno 730 GPU and 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, power the smartphone. A dual-screen, in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is another feature of the Vivo X Fold.
Information about the alleged smartphone was released on Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station, which was discovered by some. The tipster said the Chinese smartphone company was about to release another foldable phone.
Like the Vivo X Fold, the device includes a dual-screen, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It reportedly has a vertical folding screen, according to the report. Vivo has not yet disclosed its intentions to introduce a foldable smartphone in August.
The Vivo X Fold smartphone was introduced by the firm in China in April. A dual-screen, in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is included with the smartphone and is mounted beneath both the folding and the cover displays.
It has an 8.03-inch Samsung E5 foldable display with a 4:3.55 aspect ratio and 2K+ resolution. The foldable display has a 120Hz refresh rate and an ultra-touch glass covering. The cover display’s 6.53-inch Samsung E5 screen has a resolution of 1,080×2,520 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
The octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Adreno 730 GPU, together with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, power the Vivo X Fold.
The foldable phone has four cameras on the back: a 50-megapixel main lens, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 12-megapixel portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor.
Furthermore, optical image stabilization is supported for the main back camera. It has a 16-megapixel selfie camera up front.
The foldable Vivo phone has an 80W gallium nitride PD charger and a 4,600mAH dual-cell battery with 66W cable fast charging capabilities. Additionally, 50W Wireless Flash charging is supported. The Vivo X Fold is 311g in weight.
