U.S. Army: It is known that the United States Army has been acknowledged to utilize video games as part of its recruitment process.
Perhaps the largest and most successful effort to recruit soldiers by the Army was the online game America’s Army: Proving Grounds, which will shut down after being in operation for 20 years.
Individuals currently enrolled in the army can join the U.S. Army Esports team.
A Twitch channel with its issues was also launched in the Army.
The United States’ Army Proving Grounds Withdraws from Combat
The American Army: Proving Grounds can play FPS for PS4 and P.C.
The game is focused on completing tasks and working as a team of players instead of firing and killing.
The game’s creators announced the game’s shut down on the American Army website.
“As time has passed and A.A. has fulfilled its mission, it is time to shift our focus to other new and innovative ways to assist the Army with comms and recruitment,” the team added.
“None of this would have been possible without our players, so thank you for your dedication and continued support throughout these years.”
The game will be shut down on 5 May 2022 and has been long-timely criticized for presenting joining the army as a thrilling adventure.
Proving Grounds has several offline options and private servers to ensure it will not be unplayable after being shut down in May.
