Snapchat Launches Dynamic Stories for Real-Time News Updates

Snapchat wants to give its users real news stories; the popular messaging app has come up with Dynamic Stories. This new feature will let news organisations post news in real-time so that people don’t miss out on what’s going on in the world without leaving Snapchat.

Snapchat Has Launched Dynamic Stories

App users will be able to find Dynamic Stories in the app’s “Discover” section. They will use a partner news publisher’s RSS feed to make Stories based on the news shared on the web. The content will also be updated in real-time, so it doesn’t miss out on any news stories that happen right now.

The users will be able to get news in real-time, whether it is about politics or fashion. Dynamic Stories also wants to give users local content to people worldwide. People in India, the US, the UK, and France have gotten this feature. It has already started to show up in these places.

Snapchat has worked within India among the news publishers GQ India and MissMalini. They also work with The Quint and Times Now. For Dynamic Stories, the United States gets Axios, Bloomberg and CNN. Complex Networks, Condé Nast (Self, Vogue), ESPN and the New York Post are also news publishers for the service. The Wall Street Journal, TMZ, Vice, and Vogue are also news publishers for Dynamic Stories.

If you live in the UK, there are British Vogue and GQ UK. The Independent, The Mirror, and The Mirror are also there. When it comes to France, Snapchat has teamed up with publishers like Femme Actuelle and Foot Mercato and GQ France and Le Figaro. They have also worked with Marie Claire FR and Paris Match.

Another person who works for Snapchat says that Dynamic Stories will also be available in English, Hindi, and Marathi in India.

News in more Indian languages is going to be available soon. Another report says that news publishers are already seeing the benefits of this Snapchat feature.

During the first 30 days of MissMalini’s launch, it had more than 200,000 views. The Washington Post had more than a million views of its Ukraine war coverage.

Snapchat has signed up several news organisations to provide video content for its Discover section. This comes after Snapchat did this back in 2018. Videos on Dynamic Stories may also be coming soon, according to a report from 9To5 Mac.

Snapchat wants people to know that their information through Dynamic Stories will be real and from real news sources.
