Marvel’s Avengers’ future is still in jeopardy. Marvel’s Avengers’ success and popularity have consistently raised concerns about how long their live service game will be supported.
As if that weren’t enough, Square Enix sold Crystal Dynamics, the company behind Marvel’s Avengers, to Embracer Group earlier this year, with a closing date set for this summer.
Despite this, Marvel’s Avengers DLC keeps coming out, and the following important figure may have just been released.
The information was released on Tuesday by mmmmmmmmiller, a dependable Twitter leaker who has previously revealed information on Marvel’s Avengers. Miller was direct and said clearly, “Bucky Barnes is the next playable character coming to Marvel’s Avengers.”
A piece of Marvel’s Avengers artwork with Bucky Barnes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe photo-shopped across the front is attached to the post. The Winter Soldier, Captain America’s World War II sidekick, seems to be the next member to sign up.
The announcement that Bucky Barnes will be joining the team won’t come as a major surprise to those who keep up with Marvel’s Avengers news. She-Hulk, War Machine, Captain Marvel, and others in lower numbers have all been revealed to be in Marvel’s Avengers since the game’s release.
The Winter Soldier is a recurring moniker on these leaks of forthcoming DLC characters. There are also voice lines with Bucky Barnes having elevator chats, proving that he has always been a DLC character that would arrive sooner rather than later.
Where She-Hulk has gone will be a significant concern for some Marvel’s Avengers fans since she was supposed to be the next DLC character.
Miller was also questioned about this on Twitter, but he doesn’t have a definitive response. He claims that She-Hulk would “already be out by now” if it were up to him.
This can imply that she is being kept back for unknown reasons. She-TV Hulk’s program premieres in August. Thus her delay seems puzzling.
Players of Marvel’s Avengers might reasonably be frustrated with the circumstance. Hawkeye, Black Panther, and Spider-Man were the three DLC characters made available for Marvel’s Avengers in 2021.
But in 2022, Jane Foster, Mighty Thor, is the only option. Though Marvel’s Avengers fans will expect either of them to show up in 2022, it now seems like She-Hulk may be losing her position to Bucky Barnes. It’s a problematic scenario.
Even with today’s revelation from Miller, it’s unclear what will happen to Marvel’s Avengers in the future.
If that’s Crystal Dynamics’ intention, anything may happen between now and the release of Bucky Barnes.
