Microsoft Security Experts Announce

In an official blog post, Microsoft introduced the Microsoft Security Experts service, noting that the worldwide cost of cybercrime is estimated to rise from $6.5 trillion per year in 2021 to $10.5 trillion per year in 2025.

“Human-led services with expert-trained technology will help enterprises achieve better security results,” the firm claims. Microsoft will provide three corporate options as part of its new service. In the sections below, you may learn more about each of them.

Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting

This Microsoft Security Expert solution is for businesses and organizations that already have a strong security system in place but need Microsoft’s assistance in actively detecting threats and providing solutions to address them. Microsoft will give skilled security personnel to “examine whatever they uncover and then send off the relevant alert information and repair instructions” to customers with Defender Experts for hunting.

Client firms may also contact on-demand specialists who can provide them with information on particular cyber-attack instances, attack pathways, or nation-state actors. Office 365, cloud applications, and other endpoints are all protected by this solution. It is now in early access and will be released to the entire public in the summer of 2022.

Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR

This approach intends to offer client firms and enterprises security operations centers. The XDR acronym stands for extended detection and response, and the solution employs both technology and human skills to respond to customer concerns.

Microsoft Defender XDR provides detection and response throughout Microsoft 365 Defender and endpoints. Client organizations may also work with Microsoft’s specialists to decrease expenses, unwanted noise, and manual procedures. It will release in preview form in the autumn of this year.

Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise

This security solution combines both of the previous options. It offered proactive threat hunting and managed XDR to assist enterprises in meeting their security objectives and safeguarding their systems from malicious assaults and ransomware programs.

Microsoft claims to be monitoring over 35 ransomware families and 250 distinct threat actors. Microsoft Security Experts seek to boost the security systems of large corporations.
