Infinix Note 12 Series Phone With MediaTek Helio G99 SoC Set to Launch Soon

The business said on Twitter that the Infinix Note 12 series smartphone, powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, would be released shortly.

This smartphone, according to Infinix, will be the first to get the upgraded chip. As an improvement to the MediaTek Helio G96, the MediaTek Helio G99 was released with the MediaTek Dimensity 1050 and Dimensity 930.

MediaTek said that the chip would be available in the third quarter at the time of the unveiling. The MediaTek Helio G88 SoC was used in the Infinix Note 12, released in April.

Infinix, a Hong Kong-based smartphone manufacturer, stated on Twitter that a new Note 12 series smartphone would be released shortly, powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.

According to the firm, the next smartphone will be the first to use the new SoC. Unfortunately, this was the extent of Infinix’s disclosure on the future smartphone.

On May 23, MediaTek unveiled three new SoCs: the Dimensity 1050, Dimensity 930, and Helio G99.

The MediaTek Helio G99 was released as the successor to the MediaTek Helio G96 to improve the gaming experience on 4G smartphones.

In contrast to its predecessor, MediaTek claims that the new processor would have faster throughput rates and save more than 30% power for gaming. According to the company’s announcement, the SoC will be available to consumers in the second quarter of 2022.

The Infinix Note 12 was initially released in April in China. In May, the smartphone made its debut in India, and on May 28, it went on sale.

A MediaTek Helio G88 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage powered the smartphone. A 6.7-inch full-HD+ resolution AMOLED touchscreen with a 20:9 aspect ratio was also included. The phone comes with X OS 10.6 out of the box, based on Android 12.
