Elden Ring’s Valiant Gargoyle: The Great Enemy Boss is the valiant gargoyle in Elden Ring. It is an optional boss fight, and players may choose to disregard it, but completing it will net them some excellent rewards.
What distinguishes this Boss Fight from the others is a Duo-Boss Fight. The Boss Fight comprises two characters: Valiant Gargoyle and Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade).
In this guide, I’ll show you how to defeat the Valiant Gargoyle boss fight in Elden Ring in this guide.
How to Win the Elden Ring’s Valiant Gargoyle Boss Fight
The Valiant Gargoyle Boss is located on the lowest level of Nokron’s Siofra Aqueduct. Once you have passed through the Fog Wall, the Valiant Gargoyle will descend and begin attacking you.
Valiant Gargoyle will be armed with a Greatsword and a Two-Handed Axe. It will alternate between the two at various points, as indicated by some sparks.
The optimal time to attack is when it equips the Axe. Its attacks become slower, allowing you to land some solid blows on it.
If you are a ranged class, you must always maintain a safe distance. For you, the fight will become very simple. Those who have chosen a close-range class should attempt to get close to the Valiant Gargoyle.
When it switches weapons, it immediately attacks with the new one. When this occurs, exercise extreme caution. Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity to get some hits in.
Once the Valiant Gargoyle has been reduced to half health, the Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade) will join the fight. This one will be equipped with a Twinblade and a Two-Handed Axe.
The Valiant Gargoyles will begin spewing poison onto the field at this point. Avoid as much as possible, as it will deplete your health quickly. Carry on attacking the First Gargoyle until it perishes.
The second one is a little more difficult than the first. The steps outlined above will also work on the second one, but it will be more difficult.
The second Valiant Gargoyle has a berserker buff and will behave slightly more wild than the first. You will have no difficulty taking care of it.
Tips & Tricks for Defeating the Boss
Always carry a Shield, regardless of your build. I recommend carrying one that contains the Barricade Shield Ashes of War. It will be easier for builds that rely on magic or long-range attacks.
The Valiant Gargoyle’s second attack will be a spinning jump attack. Dodge by diverting your attention away from it and dodging in front of you. You will not lose any health if the timing is correct.
The first one executes a similar attack, but it is more manoeuvrable. The first Valiant Gargoyles will perform a magical move, sending a Beam of energy following the ground.
It will be heading straight for you. At some point, this attack will curve to the right. Therefore, whenever you see it approaching, make a U-turn to the left if possible.
You can use Summons here, so summon your most vital Summon Spirit. It does not have to be the best. It simply needs to tank while you deal Damage.
After defeating both of them, you’ll receive the Gargoyle’s Greatsword and Gargoyle’s Twinblade and a large number of Runes. This section was devoted to overcoming the Valiant Gargoyle Boss Fight in Elden Ring.
