What is Delta Emulator?
Delta Emulator is an iOS multi-system emulator that allows you to play games developed for other systems on your iOS device. Delta Emulator is more than just any other emulator.

How to Download & Install Delta Emulator?
There are multiple ways to download and install Delta Emulator. The method you use to download it decides the method you have to use to install it. The official download method is to get it through AltStore. If you download it from there, the process would be easiest and you’ll get regular updates. You can also get the emulator from other third-party iOS app stores but the certificate may be revoked anytime.
A trick to prevent that is by using the emulator in Airplane mode. However, the trick has been patched in iOS 13.3 and above. Another way to get the emulator is through the Emus4U app. You can also Jailbreak your iOS device to use the emulator without any issues but I wouldn’t recommend that. One more iPad-exclusive method is to get the lite version through Swift Playground.
It doesn’t matter which method you use, one thing will remain mutual in all of them, you must Trust the emulator through iPhone settings. I’d explain that as well.
1. Download Delta Emulator with AltStore
This is the official method to download and install the emulator on your iPhone or iPad. Follow the steps mentioned below to know what you have to do.
Step-1: Go to the Safari browser and download the Delta Emulator IPA file on your iOS device. You can download it from the official website.
Step-2: After downloading it, open the AltStore on your iPhone. If you don’t have it, you can install it from here.
Step-3: Once in the AltStore, tap on the + sign present in the top left corner of the screen. This will open a list of IPA files on your device, choose Delta from here.
Note: You may need to enter your Apple ID and password if this is the first time you are using AltStore.
Step-4: Wait for the installation to complete. Once it is done, go to the iPhone Settings, tap on General, then tap on Profiles, and Trust the Delta Emulator.
That’s it. Now go to the apps from the home screen, tap on the emulator icon, and run it. You can now play your favorite games with it.
2. Install Delta Emulator IPA with Cydia Impactor
You can also install the emulator through Cydia Impactor. You will require a computer or laptop (Windows/Mac), lightning cable, and your Apple ID for this method. Once you have these, follow the steps mentioned below.
Step-1: Download and install Cydia Impactor on your PC.
Step-2: Now download the emulator IPA file on your PC.
Step-3: Next, connect your iPhone to your PC and run Cydia Impactor.
Step-4: Once your iPhone is detected, choose the IPA file and drag it into the open Cydia Impactor window.
Step-5: When prompted, enter your Apple ID and password to proceed. You may see an Expired Certificate warning, click on OK to ignore it.
Step-6: Wait until the Cydia Impactor completes the installation. Keep following the on-screen prompts.
Step-7: Once the installation is complete, go to the iPhone Settings, tap on General, then tap on Profiles, and Trust the Delta Emulator.
That’s it. Now disconnect your iPhone from the computer, tap on the emulator icon from the app drawer, and start using it.
3. Get the Lite version IPA through Swift Playgrounds on iPad
This is an iPad exclusive method. You should not try this on your iPhone. Follow the steps mentioned below in order to use the emulator on your iPad.
Step-1: Open the App Store on your iPad and install Swift Playgrounds.
Step-2: Now open the browser on your iPad, and go to this link. Swift Playgrounds will be launched.
Step-3: Next, tap on ‘Subscribe; on the alert that pops up.
Step-4: Next, tap on ‘Get’ on the Delta Lite playground in the new Delta section.
Step-5: Wait for the installation to complete. Once it is, go to the My Playgrounds section in Swift Playgrounds. Tap on the Delta icon and then tap on Open.
That’s it. This will launch the emulator and you can use it to enjoy your favorite games on your iPad. You can import your games from the iCloud drive by tapping on the Landscape button next to the “Let game=” text.
Final Verdict
Delta Emulator is a great choice to enjoy your favorite GBA, NES, NDS, and other games on your iPhone or iPad. This is how you can download and install it on your iOS device. Make sure you trust it from the Settings as I have mentioned above. Or else, you’ll encounter the ‘Untrusted Developer’ error and you won’t be able to play.
