This year will be very hectic for the Call of Duty series. For Call of Duty: Vanguard, Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty Mobile, new content has been constantly published, and before the end of the year, at least two more CoD titles will be entering the fray.
Activision has said that it intends to release the much-anticipated Call of Duty: Warzone 2 before the end of the year, in addition to the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on October 28.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s release date hasn’t been disclosed by Activision yet, but it seems that information has leaked online. On the World of Warcraft Classic subreddit, someone posted an image of what is allegedly an official Activision Blizzard document.
Charlie Intel subsequently took up the story. The release date for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is one of the allegedly significant milestones for Activision for the remainder of 2022.
The release time for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 seems to be Wednesday, November 16 at 10 am PT, if the picture is authentic.
CoD enthusiasts should remember that it’s entirely conceivable that the picture has been altered or that the data is old. However, a release date of November 16 would make sense for a few reasons.
It makes sense for Activision to capitalise on the excitement by releasing Call of Duty: Warzone 2 around that time, as November, is usually the most significant month for new game launches.
The fact that Warzone 2 will most likely be free-to-play in contrast to the other high-profile games arriving in November that month will give it an initial edge over them.
Second, this would delay the release of Warzone 2 by a few weeks compared to the release of Modern Warfare 2, giving the premium CoD experience some time to shine before losing gamers to other games.
Rockstar Games has successfully used a similar approach when launching the online features for Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Fortunately, the time for fans to learn more about Call of Duty: Warzone 2 won’t be too lengthy. A release date announcement for the BR will probably be made during the Call of Duty: Warzone 2 reveal event on September 15.
However, it should be noted that Activision has not revealed its intentions for Warzone 2 during the reveal event, so it’s vital to keep that in mind before fans become too enthusiastic.
