But it seems Warner Bros. Interactive and Avalanche Software are moving through Hogwarts Legacy’s release at top speed. Its alleged release date of December 6 has been leaked, which is credible for various reasons.
Hogwarts Legacy has a placeholder release date of December 31, 2022, over on Amazon. The art book for Hogwarts Legacy, The Art, and Making of Hogwarts Legacy: Exploring the Unwritten Wizarding World, now has a revised publication date, as is customary before formal announcements (as seemingly first reported by VGC).
Customers who bought the art book in advance on Amazon UK have claimed that this date was altered from December 31 to December 6, a Tuesday.
Since placeholder dates often come at the end of a month or quarter, this adjustment would be strange even if it weren’t. Additionally, most video game releases occur on Tuesdays or Fridays, making this day ideal.
Of course, merchandise like an art book doesn’t usually debut on the same day as a game, but it also doesn’t happen as often.
Gotham Knights are a major surprise here as to why Hogwarts Legacy will be released on December 6.
The art book for the second WB game will be released on the same day as the game, and it already has a release date.
In other words, it wouldn’t be strange if Warner Bros. used the same strategy in this instance.
