Amazon Is Developing a Live-Action God of War Series

Live-Action God of War Series: The adaptation of video games has been an element of Hollywood since the famous Super Mario Bros film; however, following the massive popularity in The Witcher on Netflix, the focus of Hollywood’s attention has turned to television shows.

Fallout will be getting an adaptation on Amazon, and it’s being said as being reported that PlayStation exclusive God of War will receive a transformation as well.

The Series Would Air on Prime Video

According to an article from Deadline, this show “comes from The Expanse creators/executive producers Mark Fergus and Hawk Otsby and The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins.”

Sony Pictures and PlayStation Studios will also be part of the plan. Sony and Amazon haven’t made any official confirmation of the project.

With the show believed to be in the making, it is the third TV show inspired by an existing PlayStation game in development.

The Last of Us series is currently in development at HBO, but it won’t be aired till 2023, and Peacock will host the Twisted Metal series starring Anthony Mackie.

Other video game projects coming very soon to streaming platforms are The Halo show on Paramount +, Netflix’s upcoming Resident Evil project, and the previously mentioned Fallout series, which stars Walton Goggins.

In the coming year, the latest God of War game, God of War Ragnarok, is scheduled to launch for PS4 and the PS4 as well as the PS5. This will be the eighth game in the series.
