YouTube TV now supports picture-in-picture on iPhone.

YouTube TV on Thursday announced that it had begun the rollout of picture-in-picture (PiP) on YouTube TV’s iPhone and iPad application.

“We are happy to share that picture-in-picture is now rolling out to your iOS 15+ devices. Simply select a video to watch and swipe up from the bottom of the screen to return to the device’s homepage. The video can scale down and move across your screen,” the company wrote in an announcement tweet.

However, the feature isn’t yet available to all mobile users using YouTube. YouTube application.

“We really appreciate your patience while we worked on enabling this key feature for your iOS 15+ devices. We hope you enjoy this easy way to stream,” the company added.

With PiP, watching videos is more enjoyable, and users can utilize the iPhone and iPad to multitask while watching.

The feature allows the video to remain on the screen in a minor player, with focussed playback control.

Additionally, Google has also been testing picture-in-picture for regular YouTube content, available to premium subscribers; however, this feature isn’t made available to anyone who does not already have a subscription.
