Specifications of the Sony LinkBuds S earbuds
The Sony LinkBuds S earbuds are incredibly light at 4.8 grams per bud. The earbuds feature Sony’s high-quality LDAC Bluetooth codec and the company’s proprietary Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), which is said to provide compelling audio and call quality right out of the box.
Sony has provided an IPX4-certified build that can withstand splashes of water. Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity is available on the earbuds.
Furthermore, the earbuds include Sony’s Adaptive Sound Control, which detects the user’s activity and automatically adjusts ambient sound settings.
The company’s Speak-to-Chat feature detects your voice, pauses the audio, and activates ambient sound mode when you start talking.
The Sony LinkBuds S is powered by Sony’s Integrated Processor V1, which improves sound quality and reduces distortion. The Sony earbuds use 0.2-inch dynamic drivers with a 20Hz–20,000Hz frequency response range.
Touch control settings on the earbuds allow users to pause, play, skip tracks, control volume, activate the voice assistant, and answer phone calls.
Aside from that, the Sony LinkBuds S has Alexa built-in for voice assistance. The earbuds can last up to six hours with ANC enabled, while the charging case can last up to 14 hours for 20 hours on a single charge.
According to the company, a five-minute charge can provide up to 60 minutes of playback time. The charging case takes three hours to charge fully, while the earbuds take about two hours.
