Samsung may introduce a third foldable smartphone: Samsung now has two foldable smartphone models in its lineup: the Galaxy Z Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip, and a recent report claims that a third foldable is in the works.
Three codenames for foldable are being discussed, according to GSMArena: B4, Q4, and N4.
Last year, the names of the Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 were B3 and Q3. The N4 codename is likely for an entirely different foldable smartphone.

Samsung recently filed a patent for a new Galaxy smartphone with a sideways folding screen.
According to the patent drawings, there is a triple-camera arrangement with an LED flash. As you can see, the design has a hinge on the lower left-hand side and three magnets that keep the back cover on the screen.
The smartphone could have a two-part battery and a folding display constructed of Samsung’s UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass), the same protective layer used on the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3.
The patent talks about the technology needed to make a transparent smartphone, but it can also make other electronic devices, like TVs, monitors, laptops, and video games.
According to the report, the device shown in the patent has minimal bezels and a large transparent screen. It also appears to have an OLED screen.
Samsung shipped four times as many foldable devices in 2021 as it did the previous year, outpacing the three-fold market growth predicted by analysts.
