The Redmi 10A, the newest low-cost phone in the Redmi 10 series, was quietly unveiled. In 2020, the Redmi 9A was released. The new Redmi phone is the next generation of the 9A, released in 2019.
There are many things that the Redmi 10A and the Redmi 9A share. There is a single 13-megapixel rear-facing camera on both of them.
On the other hand, the new phone has a new design that is meant to appeal to young people. The Redmi 10A also comes with up to 128GB of onboard storage, more than the Redmi 9A, which had 32GB of storage as standard. This gives you more space to store content.
Price of the Redmi 10A
In China, the Redmi 10A starts at CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 8,300) for the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model. The price goes up from there. However, the phone is now being sold for CNY 649 as an “introductory price” (roughly Rs. 7,700).
CNY 799 (roughly Rs. 9,500) is the price for the Redmi 10A with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, and CNY 899 (roughly Rs. 10,500) is the price for the top-end model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage (roughly Rs. 10,700).
In China, they have the Redmi 10A in Shadow Black, Smoke Blue, and Moonlight Silver. It is now available for pre-order in the country. It will go on sale on March 31.
The Redmi 10A’s India launch date is unknown.
In June 2020, the Redmi 9A was released in Malaysia for MYR 359 (about Rs. 6,500). The base 2GB, + 32GB model had a price of MYR 359, which is about the same as Rs. 6,500. At Rs. 6,799 for 2GB + 32GB and Rs. 7,499 for 3GB + 32GB, the phone also went on sale in India in September of that year.
Redmi 10A’s specifications
Dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 10A runs on Android with MIUI 12.5. It has a 6.53-inch HD+ screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 400 nits of brightness. The screen also has a waterdrop-style notch.
When it comes to its processor, the Redmi 10A has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25. It can also have up to 6GB of RAM.
A 13-megapixel camera sensor with LED flash on the back is on the phone. The camera also has Xiaomi’s AI Camera 5.0, which can recognise up to 27 different types of scenes.
You can use this phone to take selfies and video calls because it has a selfie camera sensor on the front.
The Redmi 10A has up to 128GB of built-in storage that can be expanded with a microSD card (up to 512GB).
4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack are some options for connecting to the phone. Among the sensors on the board are an accelerometer, ambient light, and a proximity sensor.
The Redmi 10A has a 5,000 mAh battery that can charge at 10W. Also, the phone is 164.9x77x9.0mm and weighs 194 grams.
