Raidiant introduces the women’s $15,000 Rocket League tournament.

A platform for women’s gaming and esports Raidiant has revealed its Raidiant Rocket League Series, an exclusive tournament for women made in partnership with Psyonix, the publisher Psyonix.

This $15,000 (~PS11,000) event is open to teams of professional and amateur influencers and all women’s teams from colleges.

 It  launch in November 2021. Radiant is part of New Meta Entertainment, the parent company of North American esports organization Dignitas.

According to the announcement, it is expected that the tournament will run from February 26 to 27 and will provide the opportunity to engage players and fans.

Rocket League fan rewards– the in-game items awarded by Psyonix who tune into Rocket League esports — will be accessible to those watching the Raidiant Twitch channel.

Additionally, Raidiant will create shoulder content in collaboration with teams participating. 

Twitch creators will be given the option of applying to co-stream.

 Professional teams competing within this year’s Rocket League Championship Series will also support the women’s groups via streaming matches.

Dignitas was the very first RLCS team to announce its support to the tournament through the participation of its Rocket League team and signed content creators.

The tournament create in conjunction with Twitch Women’s Alliance.

 This initiative aims to support women who create content on Twitch by establishing support networks and social and educational programs.

In a Reddit thread, Heather Garozzo, VP of Community & Events at Dignitas, announced that the company would collaborate with Women’s Car Ball Championship (WCBC), an all-women’s Rocket League community, and event coordinator.

Raidiant partners VIRUS International will also be giving all competitors customized Raidiant jerseys for participation. 

NYX Professional Makeup, a founding partner of Raidiant will help support the event with products and content giveaways.

It will be broadcast using the Verizon 5G Gaming Center in Los Angeles on Verizon’s XR Stage.

Esports Insider Says Rocket League arguably has a more fabulous female presence than any other esports game, so having the Raidiant tournament from New Meta Entertainment aiming at the popular game with a brand appeal is logical.

The tournament is an exciting new addition to the Rocket League’s female community, and it’s nice to know that Raidiant already has brands in place.
