Next week, Oppo will launch its new Reno 8 series, superseding last year’s Reno 7 lineup.
The company has announced that an online event will be held in China on May 23 to launch the Oppo Reno 8 mid-range phones.
Likely to include attractive aesthetics, a variety of camera-centric features, and more. Here’s what to anticipate.
Launching This Month: Oppo Reno 8 Series
Oppo announced in a recent Weibo post. The Reno 8 series will also be released in China at 7:00 a.m. local time (4:30 pm IST).
The corporation has also released a brief teaser for the gadgets, although it has no information.
The Reno 8 series consists of three models: the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 SE. According to a new leak, the Reno 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which will unveil on May 20 at the Snapdragon Night event.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC might be used in the Reno 8, with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
According to reports, the Reno 8 will also include a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There will also be three back cameras, including a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. The MariSiliconX NPU is also expected to support this variation.
The Reno 8 will also include a 4,500mAh battery compatible with 80W wired fast charging, similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. For an Oppo phone, this will be a first. Other information about the Reno 8 series is scarce.
We also have no notion what kind of fantastic camera features it will offer. Plus, the design is still a mystery, but our best estimate is a punch-hole screen in the middle and other design tweaks.
While the Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro may be priced in the high mid-range, the Reno 8 SE may be a more inexpensive option. However, appropriate specifics are unavailable, so it’s best to wait until the debut event to have a clearer understanding. We’ll keep you up to date. So keep an eye out for additional details.
