According to many reports, the Steam Summer Sale 2022 will begin next Thursday, June 23, and run through July 7. SteamDB, which keeps track of information on the shop, even has a countdown clock that counts down the days, hours, and minutes until the event starts.
While nothing has been verified, things will begin around 10 a.m. PST / 1 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. BST. It’s impossible to predict which games will be discounted, but according to SteamDB, titles on sale last year are likely to return this year.
Games like Halo: The Masterchief Collection and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice were heavily discounted during the Steam Summer Sale of 2021. Even older games like The Witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight, which are still in great demand, were heavily reduced.
Furthermore, several of Valve’s titles, such as Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2, were discounted to around $2. Anyone who frequently uses Steam knows that summer is an exciting time to be a gamer. Ironically, since so many games are on sale, some people may pay more than they typically would.
With the release of such enormous blockbusters as Elden Ring, which has gone down in history as one of the top-rated video games of all time, and Dying Light 2, this summer’s sale might be particularly fascinating.
