iPhone 14 Max Delays Due to Production and Supply Chain Issues: Report

According to a report, the release of the iPhone 14 Max may be delayed due to manufacturing concerns and supply chain problems.

This iPhone 14 series model is said to have a 6.7-inch screen, the largest ever for a non-pro model, but it is also claimed to lack ProMotion, Apple’s adaptive refresh rate technology.

The COVID-19 lockout was said to have caused a three-week delay in manufacturing the iPhone 14 Max in May, but another source stated that everything was under control.

According to DSCC analyst Ross Young, who was quoted by 9to5mac, the manufacturer of the iPhone 14 Max is running behind schedule due to specific supply chain issues.

The panel shipments for the in-issue iPhone 14 series model are far behind those for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, to the point that supply volumes for the latter are more than three times larger than those for the former.

According to reports, Young’s research is based on data from the supply chain as of August.

The screens for the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max will differ, although both are expected to feature 6.7-inch displays.

ProMotion, Apple’s variable refresh rate technology, is said to be included on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the iPhone 14 Pro.

There have been reports of delays with the iPhone 14 Max before. Young said earlier this year that the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max panel shipments behind the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models by one month. But he said at the time that this wouldn’t delay the launch.

Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu was also quoted claiming that the manufacture of the iPhone 14 Max had been delayed by three weeks.

Additionally, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, said in May that the manufacture of the iPhone 14 Max was behind schedule.
