How to Teleport in Minecraft

Teleport in Minecraft: When exploring your big, blocky world in Minecraft, teleporting may save you time. If you’ve ever played Minecraft, you’ll know that a large part of the game revolves around exploring the vast universe.

You have a better chance of obtaining valuable and uncommon materials the deeper you go.

Knowing how to teleport may assist here, as you can either shoot down into the Nether to get some Netherite before rapidly returning to your base to utilize it, or you can teleport back to your base to use it.

How to Teleport in Minecraft

Step 1: Enable Cheats

To teleport in Minecraft, you must first activate cheats. The ‘Allow Cheats’ option should be directly below the ‘Game Mode’ selection on the ‘Create New World’ screen if you’re making a new world.

To allow cheats in an existing world, go to the pause menu, choose ‘Open to Lan,’ and check that ‘Allow Cheats: On’ is checked. If it says off, click it, and it will enable cheats.

Go to the ‘Game Settings’ screen for consoles and the ‘Bedrock’ version of the game, scroll down until you find ‘Cheats,’ and make sure the switch next to ‘Activate Cheats’ is green.

Step 2: Enter Your Coordinates

Then hit T on your PC or right on the d-pad on your console’s controller to bring up the chat menu.

Enter the XYZ coordinates you wish to go to after typing /tp or /teleport. If you wanted to get to coordinates 95, 40, and 65, for example, you’d write in:

Keep in mind that the lowest possible ‘Y’ coordinate is -64. You may also check your current coordinates by hitting F3 on a PC or FN + F3 on a Mac, merely to note where you’d want to go when you’ve finished in the region you’re teleporting to.

Teleporting In a Certain Direction

You may use the Tilde () to lock particular coordinates if you don’t know the precise coordinates of where you want to teleport to but only want to cover a broad distance in any given direction.

For instance, if you just wanted to move 20 blocks up in the air from our initial locations, you’d type:

The Tilde may lock any XYZ coordinates, so be sure to utilize it anytime you need it.
