After its Chinese debut last month, Honor has finally launched the Honor 70 5G smartphone in the UK, with the Honor Pad 8 and the X8 5G smartphone.
Honor 70 5G Details
The Honor 70 Pro has a 6.78-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also sports a fingerprint sensor beneath the display and a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera.
It has the Snapdragon 778G Plus SoC with HONOR’s proprietary GPU Turbo X, which maintains fast frame rates and low battery consumption while running high-rate games. In addition, it has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space.
The device’s optics include:
- A 54-megapixel IMX800 Super Sensing Main Camera.
- A 50-megapixel ultra-wide & macro sensor.
- A 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The gadget boasts a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone includes a 4,800mAh battery and supports 66W rapid charging. In addition, it comes with Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 and additional capabilities like a USB-C connector, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G, and NFC.
Honor Pad 8 Details
The Honor Pad 8 is a mid-range tablet featuring a 12-inch 2K-resolution LCD screen and an 87% screen-to-body ratio.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 680 CPU and has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In addition, the tablet is powered by Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 and an all-new desktop interface.
This is Honor’s first tablet with multi-screen collaboration. In addition, the tablet’s and Honor smartphone’s drag-and-drop features provide seamless interaction, making it easy to collaborate on duplicate files.
The tablet also has 5-megapixel front and back cameras, an 8-speaker system with DTS audio tuning technology, and a 7,250mAh battery with 22.5W rapid charging.
Honor X8 5G Details
The Honor X8 5G’s 6.5-inch LCD boasts a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz.
The Snapdragon 480 Plus CPU powers the X8 5G, which is complemented by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.
The gadget contains a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In addition, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The smartphone runs Magic UI 4.2, which is based on Android 11. In addition, it comes with a 5,000mAh battery that enables 22.5W quick charging.
It also has a fingerprint scanner on the side for additional security. Dual SIM, 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a USB-C connector, and a 3.5mm audio jack are among the connectivity possibilities.
Price and Availability
Crystal Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black are the colors offered for the HONOR 70 5G. The 8GB+128GB model costs £479.99 (about $568/Rs. 45,375), while the 8GB+256GB model costs £529.99 (approximately $627/Rs. 50,120).
The HONOR 70 will be available for purchase on September 2, 2022, with pre-orders commencing on August 26, 2022.
The HONOR Pad 8 will be available on HiHonor.com from August 26 and on Amazon beginning September 2 for £269.99 (about $319/Rs. 25,505 / 4GB+128GB).
The HONOR X8 5G is already available for £229.99 (about $272 or Rs. 21,725) via HiHonor.com, Argos, and Amazon.
