Fortnite Adds New Music from Australian Artist Tones, and I

Fortnite continues its Soundwave Series by featuring an appearance from Tones and I, an Australian singer-songwriter.

Fortnite started the Soundwave Series in October 2021.

This series allowed artists from all over the world to have their music played and promoted through a series of playable shows.

It began with Mohamed Hamaki from Egypt, which the players very well received.

Many more artists will be participating in the Soundwave Series in the future.

Players will guide through a map create by TheBoyDilly and Team Alliance for each song.

This is similar to an event held during Season 7 of Chapter 2. Easy Life performed at the Cosmic summer event. Ariana Grande hosted the Rift Tour.

The event will go live at 6 pm ET on January 21st. It will also be repeated non-stop for 72 hours (Monday, January 24, at 6 pm EST).

This means that players don’t have to jump into the game to enjoy the performance immediately.

Players will receive a souvenir and a Soundwave Series – Tones and I spray emote after the event.

The Fortnite Items Shop also received two new items. A Lobby Track for Tones and i’s song “Cloudy Day” and an emote based on her smashing single “Dance Monkey.”

The Item Shop also has skins and emotes related to the Icon series. These include emotes based upon popular dances, such as Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa.

This time, the Press Play item set has add, including outfits and emotes base on concert-going and rave culture.

Tones and I’s performance looks to be most anticipated for Fortnite

After the game’s many acts, such as Marshmallow’s concert in Chapter 1, Season 7, and Travis Scott’s Astronomical event in Chapter 2, Season 2, Tones & I’s is expected to be the most popular.

The young performer is sure to put on an impressive show, with many songs from her forthcoming album Welcome To the Madhouse.

Although most players are more interested in the live events which fill out Fortnite’s ever-growing narrative, it is exciting to see a new musical event generate as much buzz.

Players will hopefully get to enjoy the show.
