Avatar: Reckoning heading for iOS and Android

Avatar: Reckoning, a new MMORPG shooter set in the James Cameron universe of Avatar, has been announce to iOS and Android devices, and the release date is to be announce later in the year.

It is develope and release by Tencent’s backing Archosaur Games, in partnership with Tencent, Disney, and Cameron’s production company Lightstorm Entertainment.

In Pandora’s world, players make a character and interact with new clans of Navi, fighting with them against the humans invading the world.

RDA players in single-player, cooperative, and PvP mode.

 In addition, there will be weapons and equipment to equip and missions to complete, and a leveling system.

Foundations for franchises

Avatar is the most-grossing film ever with an estimated $2.8 billion (according to Box Office Mojo), with Disney is likely to expand the movie into a series.

Two Avatar games release this year, the second game being Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. While Frontiers will not be available on mobile devices, it’s worth noting that both games are schedule to release in the same year.

The sequel to the Avatar film, Avatar 2, is scheduled to release on December 16, 2022.

This month, there are plans to launch an open beta version for Avatar: Reckoning in Canada, and eligible players to sign up through the official website.

Wimo Games recently announced its mobile debut title, RPG Dice: Heroes of Whitestone. It will be launched in the two platforms of iOS and Android on the 18th of January, 2022.
