AMD Introduces New Ryzen 5000 and 4000 Series Desktop CPUs : AMD announced the Ryzen 6000 series of processors earlier this year at the CES 2022 trade show in Las Vegas.
AMD has released some new, more affordable desktop processors under the Ryzen 5000 and Ryzen 4000 series. These processors are based on the company’s Zen 2 and Zen 3 architectures.
They have slower clock speeds than the company’s top-of-the-line processors. Then, let’s take a closer look at these new things that AMD has to offer right now.

AMD is going to make Ryzen processors more affordable for PCs.
Ryzen 5000 Series CPUs
5000-series: Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, and Ryzen 5 5500 CPUs are all part of this group.
The Ryzen 7 5700X is a processor with eight cores and 16 threads. It has a base clock speed of 3.4GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.6GHz.
It has a total cache size of 36MB, a lower TDP of 65W, and PCIe Gen 4 storage can be used.
Even though the processor has a low TDP, it doesn’t come with a cooler. It costs $299 (about Rs 22,804).
The Ryzen 5 5600 is primarily a less powerful version of the 6-core/12-thread 5600X.
It has a clock speed of up to 4.4GHz and a total cache of 35MB, less than the six-core/12-thread 5600X.
Also, this one is based on the Zen 3 architecture and has 65W of TDP. It also comes with a Wraith Stealth cooler unit. It costs $199 (about Rs 15,177).
There is also a Wraith Stealth cooler box and a 6-core/12-thread design in the lowest-end Ryzen 5 5500. However, it has a lower base and boosts clock speeds of 3.6GHz and 4.2GHz, lower than other phones.
Also, it doesn’t have a lot of cache support. It has only 19MB of total cache. It also has PCIe Gen 3 storage, unlike the higher-end Ryzen 5 5500, which doesn’t. It costs $159 (about Rs 12,126).
Ryzen 4000 Series CPUs
Ryzen 4000 CPUs now have three new models: Ryzen 5 4600G, 4500, and Ryzen 3 4100. In this case, they are made with the Zen 2 architecture and the Renoir APUs.
With a base clock speed of 3.7 GHz, and a boost clock speed of 4.22GHz, the Ryzen 5 4600G is the most powerful. It also has a built-in AMD Radeon GPU, which shows the “G” in its name. It has an 11MB cache, a 65W TDP, and a Wraith Stealth cooler. The CPU costs $154 (about Rs. 11,745).
The Ryzen 5 4500 has 6 cores and 12 threads, just like the 4600G. However, it doesn’t have a built-in GPU and has base and boost clock speeds of 3.6GHz and 4.1GHz. The 4600G is the same as the 4600G in terms of total cache and TDP. It costs $129 (about $9,838).
All of these processors have four cores and eight threads. The Ryzen 3 4100 is the lowest-end one. It has a clock speed of 3.8GHz for the base clock, and it can go up to 4.0GHz for the boost clock.
It has 6MB of cache, a 65W TDP, and a Wraith Stealth cooler. And because of its low-end specs, the CPU costs just $99 (about Rs 7,550).
Other Announcements
These aren’t the only things AMD has revealed about its Ryzen 7 5800X3D CPU, which was announced at CES this year. Its prices and availability have also been reported.
From April 20, you can buy the Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, which comes with AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology and a massive 96MB of L3 cache for $449.
And AMD says that Ryzen 5000 and 4000 series processors will work with its X370, B350, and A320 motherboards that use its 300 series chipset.
In April, motherboard manufacturer websites will have the beta BIOS updates to allow these new processors to work with these motherboards.
