Step-1: Go to the music player app (Spotify, default one, etc) you use to play songs on your smartphone.
Step-2: Find the song that you want to add to Snapchat. Play it and pause it a second before the section you want to add in your Snap.
Step-3: Now tap on the ‘Home’ button to minimize this app. Make sure you don’t close it.
Step-4: Next, open Snapchat.
Step-5: Select which camera (front or back) you want to use to record your snap. You can cover the camera with a finger if you don’t want to record anything but only want the music.
Step-6: Now swipe up from the bottom to access Control Center (for iOS users) or swipe down from the top to access the Notification Center (for Android users).
Step-7: You will see the paused song that you started earlier. Tap on ‘Play’ and quickly close the Control Center or Notification Center, and tap and hold the ‘Record’ button to start recording your snap.
Step-8: Once recorded, leave the ‘Record’ button. Snapchat will then play the video for you. If you can’t hear the song, see if the ‘mute’ button is active. If it is, unmute it.
Step-9: After making sure that the snap is fine, tap on the ‘arrow’ icon present in the lower right corner.
Step-10: Choose the friends with whom you want to share this snap, or select if you want to post it on your story. Once done, tap on the ‘Send’ button.

Alternate Method: Use an External Music Player
There is one more way to add cool songs to your Snapchat stories. You must have seen the ‘car dashboard snaps’ where people are driving and songs are playing in the background. In a similar way, you can play a song on an external player like a Bluetooth music player, computer, or even another mobile, and then start recording a snap with your mobile.
To get the best quality, I’ll tell you a trick. Connect your earphones to the mobile playing the song, and put the ‘earcup’ of your earphones on the mic of the mobile recording the snap. In this way, your snap will have the clearest audio.
When will Snapchat Release the ‘Add Music’ Feature?
