Pokemon Masters Tier List and Best Sync Pairs 2021

Pokemon Masters is a widely played gacha game. It features more than 60 popular characters from the Pokemon series. The characters along with their Pokemon are ranked upon various tiers. A brief Pokemon Masters Tier List is a must to know where your favorites stand.

If you want to know about it more, this post is specifically written for you. Here, I will present to you a detailed Pokemon Masters Tier List. This list will help you to know the ranks of your favorite trainers. Additionally, we’ll also provide a list of best free Sync Pairs.

What are the Pokemon Masters Tiers?

Pokemon Masters is a chart-topping free-to-play gacha game. It is developed and published by the Japanese studio DeNA. The game is available for all Android and iOS devices around the globe. This game allows you to collect trainers instead of Pokemon, unlike the other Pokemon games. You have to make the Pokemon Masters battle through the tournament on Pasio to be the victor.

The game features over 60 popular characters taken from the complete Pokemon Series. You will find characters from the first season to the current season. New additions are also expected in every update. All the Sync Pairs (Trainers+their Pokemon) in the game have different usage, effectiveness, and moveset. Since the Sync Pairs are not equal, they can be put in various tiers (ranks).

The Pokemon Masters tiers are the ranks where a certain in-game character is placed. These are based on his usage and versatility for the current EX challenges and moveset usability combined with effectiveness for general co-op. This means, the higher the rank, the better the Sync Pair.

Different Pokemon Masters Tiers (From High to Low)

All the Sync Pairs in Pokemon Masters have different abilities and uses. So, they are put among various tiers. Roughly, we can categorize them in 5 Tiers- S, A, B, C, and Others (D, E, F). We have to consider the overall usability of their moveset and how they can potentially work in the future.

As mentioned above, we’ll focus on these two main factors while categorizing characters among tiers:

  1. Their usage and versatility for current EX Challenges.
  2. Their Moveset usability and effectiveness for general co-op.

Remember that the tiers may change when you focus on different criteria.

List of Pokemon Masters Tiers by type

Based on these factors, here is a brief introduction to all 5 tiers:

S Tier: This is the highest tier. These pairs are usable for almost any EX as they have perfect movesets. They are also great for Group strategies and optimal for Solo strategies. We can sub-divide this tier into “S+” that contains the elite pairs and “S” that contains great pairs.

A Tier: This tier consists of pairs only bettered by S Tier. The strikers of this tier have strong movesets especially efficient for typing. And, the supports have great bulk or bring intimidating utility with their moveset.

B Tier: This tier consists of great pairs but not better than the S and A tier ones. The strikers have robust movesets that are useful for typing, and great for EX Challenges. The supports have a specific utility that is critical for common strategies.

C Tier: These are the Sync Pairs with usable movesets but they are easily defeated by the higher tier pairs. They have multiple flaws and a lack of adaptation for EX Challenges.

Others (D, E, F): All the other Sync Pairs belong to this tier as of now. They are also classified as ‘Trash Tier’ as they don’t have very usable movesets and have many flaws. They are outclassed by all the higher tiers. These pairs may move up depending upon the future content.
