How To Undo Frenzied Flame in Elden Ring?

Undo Frenzied Flame in Elden Ring: Many players may not come across the Frenzied Flame in multiple playthroughs of Elden Ring. The Three Fingers, whose embrace enslaves the frenzied (and future Lord of Chaos), can be found deep beneath Leyndell.

Inheriting this sinful, destructive, and vexing flame open the door to a new ending, plunging the world into an Age of Chaos.

It’s also the only Elden Ring ending that forces you to choose – other unlocked endings can be chosen interchangeably after defeating the final boss.

Still, if you inherit the Frenzied Flame, you’re doomed to destroy the world… well, not entirely true, but to undo the Frenzied Flame, you’ll have to complete a lengthy NPC questline to defeat one of Elden Ring’s most difficult bosses.

Step 1: Begin Millicent’s Questline in the Church of the Plague.

Millicent is a red-haired NPC who players meet in Caelid’s Church of the Plague for the first time. If you find Gowry first, he will hint at her location.

After talking to Millicent, return to Gowry, who will give you more information on Millicent’s condition and send you to find an item that can help her overcome the Rot.

This is the Unalloyed Gold Needle, which you will use much later in the game to reverse your decision to inherit the Frenzied Flame.

For the time being, head to the Swamp of Aeonia and look for a boss named Commander O’Neil.

Step 2: Assassinate Commander O’Neil, obtain the Needle and cure her rot.

Even if you don’t face him one-on-one, Commander O’Neil isn’t a challenging boss fight.

He constantly summons mobs to shoot and chase his target, but being able to ride Torrent makes this boss and his ilk much easier to defeat.

Commander O’Neil, once defeated, drops the Commander’s Standard and the Unalloyed Gold Needle.

Return to Millicent and give her the needle to start the healing process (or temporarily treat it). Millicent will stand up after resting at the Church of the Plague Site of Lost Grace. After resting, reload the area and head to Gowry’s Shack to find Millicent alone.

Step 3: Continue Her Questline And Defend Her At The Haligtree

After speaking with Millicent in Gowry’s Shack, she can find in the Altus Plateau at Erdtree-Gazing Hill. After speaking with her. Proceed to the Shaded Castle overworld dungeon to obtain the Valkyrie’s Prosthesis.Return to Millicent, give her the Prosthesis, and then travel to the Altus Plateau’s northeast corner to defeat the Godskin Apostle in Windmill Village.Speak with her here, then travel to the Mountaintops of Giants to find her at the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins Site of Lost Grace.

After speaking with her here, she will proceed to the Haligtree’s Prayer Room Site of Lost Grace.

Finish her conversation here, then return to the pest-infested area before the Drainage Channel Site of Lost Grace to defeat an Ulcerated Tree Spirit.

Two summon signs will appear in this remote location, one to assist Millicent and the other to invade her.

Help Millicent defend herself against her attackers, then reload the area to find her sitting on the shore. She will give you the Unalloyed Gold Needle, which you must take to Malenia’s boss room, located far below.

Step 4: Use the Needle on Malenia’s Flower, and fight the Dragonlord in Farum Azula.

To spawn a large lotus-like flower in Malenia’s boss room, you must defeat her; much easier said than done. After she is defeat, re-load the area and proceed to the large flower in the center of the room.

Miquella’s Needle, a single-use consumable item, can obtain using the Unalloyed Gold Needle on the flower.

After obtaining Miquella’s Needle, proceed to Crumbling Farum Azula and descend to the very bottom of the airborne ruins. It’s a bit of a maze, but you’ll know you’ve arrived when a secret Boss Battle begins.

After defeating this boss, use Miquella’s Needle on yourself within the boss arena to free yourself from the Three Fingers’ control.
