Apple event: 3 items that wowed, but not the 48MP camera

Apple event: 3 items that wowed: Besides, the event itself was in hybrid mode since most of it, except for the brief appearance by CEO Tim Cook at the beginning, pre-recorded to be broadcast across the globe.

In two years, Apple‘s first physical launch event did not include many surprises.

Instead, there were four iPhone 14s, including two with the Pro branding that now has better cameras and a faster CPU, three Apple Watch models, including a new Ultra model, and the latest AirPods Pro, which arrived three years after the first model.

Three items and features caught my attention among the things unveiled on Wednesday at the Steve Jobs Theatre. Here is the list and my reasoning for including the items.

Ultra-Apple Watch:

This brand-new, top-of-the-line Apple Watch is intended for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who test the boundaries of endurance daily. In comparison to the standard Apple Watch, the new Apple Watch Ultra features a little larger body, a larger battery, a more durable construction, an additional activity button on the left, and many other improvements.

Since it will instantly make them stand out in the crowd, many ordinary Apple Watch owners may also want to spend the additional money and switch to this one, even if it may be the ideal wearable for that weekend mountain trek. The most widely used watch brand worldwide for a very long time has been the Apple Watch.

This gadget will undoubtedly be popular despite a price that puts it on par with the new iPhone 14, particularly given that Apple hasn’t made any significant advancements with the standard Apple Watch this time.

The Changing Island

Do not deterred by the moniker; it is just Apple’s way of treating the new iPhone 14 Pro’s floating notch. In reality, Apple has brilliantly used the gap, which receives some criticism with each iteration, as a springboard to develop something fresh.

The front-facing camera’s negative space included in Apple’s dynamic island, which also creates space around it to provide alerts, notifications, directions, and other clues in a very natural manner. Everything fits so seamlessly into the UI that I had the impression it would soon replace the Home button.

Apple has also gone one step further and utilized the area to display two bubbles if a user is multitasking. But, again, the options are unlimited since developers are free to work on this functionality.

The AirPods Pro 2 provides noise cancellation.

After an Apple presentation, the demo area inside the Steve Jobs Theatre can become rather loud. Therefore, it is an excellent location to test the new AirPods Pro’s noise cancellation.

In fact, with the updated model, your Apple Watch may display the range and ambient sound levels once noise cancellation has activated. Unfortunately, I felt the demo had drowned out the drone of journalists and content makers in the hands-on area, leaving me with nothing but my thoughts.

With all the noise surrounding you, it isn’t easy. In fact, before long, I was listening to music on the phone and attempting to understand what the person is offering the sample was trying to convey.

Now, you can use the AirPods’ stem to change the volume and enable transparency. Another helpful feature appears to be the ability to use the phone to locate a specific spot on the charging case.
