When is Bayonetta 3 coming out

As a lifelong fan of Platinum Games and the Bayonetta franchise, I’ve anxiously awaited Bayonetta 3 news.

The game was initially revealed in 2017 and has since undergone many blackouts and redos as Platinum has tried to perfect it.

However, they seem to have finally achieved their desired state for the game. So when will Bayonetta 3 be available?

When is the release of Bayonetta 3?

In time for Halloween in 2022, Bayonetta 3 will be available only on the Nintendo Switch on October 28th. On the game’s official eShop website, pre-orders are already live for $59.99, and physical copies can also be pre-ordered at most big-box stores.

According to the game’s official launch teaser, Platinum is going all-out with Bayonetta 3. This time, our beloved gun-toting witch will face an army of Homunculi, strange artificial creatures conquering the planet, rather than angels or demons (though there will be plenty of both). Bayonetta may use the new Demon Masquerade ability, which enables her to change into powerful demonic forms dependent on her loaded weapons, to fend them off.

In addition to playing as Bayonetta, you’ll also have the option to control Viola, a brand-new character. Viola is a witch in training; thus, she lacks Bayonetta’s access to as much magical power, but she makes up for it with various tools, an enchanted katana, and a deal with the demon Cheshire.

Bayonetta 3 will also be offered as the Trinity Masquerade Collector’s Edition, which comes with a 200-page art book and three interchangeable game box covers in addition to the standard physical and digital copies. The price and pre-order dates for this version have not yet been disclosed.

Once again, Bayonetta 3 will be released on October 28, 2022, just for the Nintendo Switch. That is what I refer to as the witching hour.
